Get Wild with Nanowrimo

I imagine we'll hear the wind whistling through this blog for the next thirty days or so. Now, now, quit crying. It's not like we're breaking up with our wonderful readers! But it's nanowrimo time--that insane month of the year when authors and hopefuls fire up the old coffee maker, chain themselves to their keyboards and take on the task of writing an entire novel in thirty days.

I've decided to use the time to complete edits on my upcoming release of "The Fuck It List: Bijoux and write another Christmas novella.

Why a holiday story, you might ask? Because writing those makes me happy in the goofiest kind of way, and in my life right now, deliriously happy is a rare commodity (although I have to admit misery and heartbreak and a marriage careening dangerously toward the rocks is good for the waistline).

A good number of our WGW ladies will be participating, so please, come on over to the nanowrimo site and friend us. Maybe we can all help each other through the insanity. Or, we could just drink a lot. Which works for me. ;)

I'll be uploading chapters of my nanowrimo project, Naughty Noel to
wattpad as I write, so if you follow that amazing application, be sure to friend me there as Liane Gentry Skye. :)

You guys amaze me. I could never do NANO, my muse would run for the hills. I'm struggling like mad with a book that should have been done about a year ago, and my readers are getting anxious. Help!

And, BTW, that sucks about how things are going with your man. I hope everything smooths out for you really soon, but maybe in the meantime, your WIP will keep you otherwise occupied? And hey, you've got Savannah, baby! xo

Kaylea, if you saw any of my nanowrimo efforts, you'd be scared away forever LOL. But there's something feeing about allowing yourself to write something terrible for thirty days, so I'm gonna.

As for my man...*sigh*. Risk of loving an alpha male, sometimes when they leap for the crumbling ledge, they take their family with them. We've got a lot of years invested, though, so who knows....maybe we'll make it. Then I could write a booka bout....us! LOL.

Thank God for being able to vent with our writing, is all I can say. Otherwise those men in our lives would cop it far more than they do. (Guys? Are you reading this? You should be very grateful your significant others are writers, otherwise we'd be tempted to vent by actually kicking your arses into touch instead of writing about it.)

Liane. I sincerely hope it's just a rough patch and you'll get through this. In the meantime: (((HUGS!!!)))
