I have a new love. We recently just added HBO to our cable and I found the hotness that is True Blood. LOL.
I had seen a few episodes from season one last year. Of course they gave us the free weekend and played a few to try and addict me, which they did. Still, at the time I didn't see the point in paying all the extra money for one show. See, I'm not a big TV watcher. I knew I wouldn't even watch the channel except for that on hour every Sunday night. So, I held off. After switching cable providers we got offered an awesome deal on HBO so my first though: HELL YES! True Blood. Since then I've devoured all season two both on demand and weekly. I've learned everyone loves Eric and I do too. The man his hot but I have a soft spot for Bill still. Maybe it's because I didn't see all of season one to get the same affect as everyone else? Not sure but I can say I am mad at Eric for tricking her last week but my heart broke for him because of Godrick. That was a powerful scene on that rooftop, wasn't it? I actually had fallen a little in love with Godrick too and it broke my heart that he killed himself.
I can't wait to see where the show goes next. Mary Anne is one freaky chick? Hopefully they can get her out of there soon.

I have only watched season one- but i loved it, almost made me order HBO. But i am the same way, not much of a tv watcher. I will wait impatiently for it to come out on bluray then we will buy it. I am not a big fan of Bill, he is too brooding and not nearly handsome vampire enough for my tastes ;)
I hardly ever watch TV. Not that I don't want to follow all these great shows...just that I'd get no writing done if I did LOL.
I do catch some on DVD, which I watch on my elliptical or treadmill. Right now I'm devouring Heroes.
I've watched True Blood from the very beginning and I have to say I absolutely LOVE this show! Bill was an attraction from the start and I couldn't stand Eric. But I think that opinion is wavering now. I'm seeing Bill as somewhat of a wuss! LOL And Eric is getting hotter! The scene this week where Sookie was apparently dreaming in bed with Eric. OMG! Can't wait for Marianne to get her comeuppance. She's a total freak! I do believe the war is about to begin. lol
Woo hoo! More TB watchers. I plan to buy the first season on DVD and the second when it comes out.
Barb, Bill is kind of a wuss compared to Eric. I think both men look better this season though!

I think I'm the only one not watching True Blood. My favorite show right now is MadMen. It's intelligent, intriguing and every character is multi-faceted and fascinating. The bar is set very high with this show. I'm addicted...Mary Kennedy Eastham, Author, 'The Shadow of a Dog I Can;t Forget' and the upcoming novel, 'Night Surfing'
We don't have cable or any channels really but I rented the 1st season through Blockbuster's mail program and omg, I'm dying to see the second season!
I love Charlaine Harris's books, she wrote the Sookie Series TB is based on. Rather loosely this season until this last show. :)
Bill did nothing for me in the books, the show I like him better but my love has always been for Eric. Everyone needs to tell Alan Ball we need lots more Eric! The scene where Sookie is sucking out the silver and then oh my, the bedroom scene...o la la. Maryann is definetly freaky and yep I think it is gonna be a war also to take her down. Hoight and Jessica are just sweet, I hope they make it (wouldn't know as it is not in the books at all). 3 more shows and it's done for the season, definetly gonna buy the second season as well. :) They did the rooftop scene beautifuly with Godrick and was anyone else crying?!! Gees is it Sunday yet?!!
I watched all of season one and I still think Eric is hot. After 1000 years of vampire unlife, why wouldn't he be a bit full of himself. A little arrogance and confidence gets me every time.
I like Bill, too, but not the way I lust for Eric.
Godric was something special. Even though I expected him to greet the sun, I didn't expect to be so choked up over it. What a performance and Sookie's silent tears were just the right touch as he smiled, took off his shirt and embraced eternity. Oops, beginning to sound like a writer again.
I thought of dropping the channel to cut back on $$$ and then my son pointed out I'd not see True Blood, so that was a big no way for me. I'm a big True Blood fan.
